KAZAKSTAN GEOPOLITICS

Abstract

The role and place of Kazakhstan in the modern world is mostly determined by its geopolitical position. Kazakhstan showed the ambition and is still pushing on to take the leading positions in the process of modern world development. Having an advantageous geopolitical position, Kazakhstan is the region of geopolitical clash of strategic interests of China, Russia, Europe, USA and countries of the “Islamic world”. Moreover, Kazakhstan is the country of intertwining of different religions – Islam and Christianity represented in its different movements. Kazakhstan’s internal and external political course and all changes coming from it will have a major role in the prosperity of the Asian region. The foreign policy concept of Kazakhstan represents the wish to actively develop comprehensive relations with extra-regional actors of international relations that by no means indicates the decrease in bilateral relations.
