KOREAN WAVE IN THE CONTEXT OF DEVELOPMENT OF RELATIONS BETWEEN SOUTH KOREA AND KAZAKHSTAN

Abstract

The phenomenon of the "Korean wave" is very popular today. With the birth of Hallyu, Korea entered a new phase of its life. Research conducted in the field of cultural development of the country showed the undeniable impact of the "Korean wave" on the country's economy.

            Despite the stagnation that occurred in 1998, South Korea managed to find a way out of the economic crisis quickly. By effectively using the "soft power" mechanism, he increased interest in his culture. As a result, Korea's budget began to be replenished successfully. Due to the "soft power" mechanism, South Korea has global popularity. In addition, it is one of the countries with the highest economy.

            The purpose of the article was to study the phenomenon of "Hallyu" and its impact on the socio-economic life of the country. In the course of the study, the features of the emergence of the "Korean wave" and the development trends were analyzed. The impact of the "soft power" mechanism on the economy of South Korea was determined.

            Analysis, deduction, synthesis, comparative and analytical methods were used as research methods. Also, various scientific works and articles related to the research topic were considered, and information was differentiated with the latest available materials published in the media and on the Internet. Through empirical analysis, the main directions of the "Korean wave" and the continuous connection between the changes in Korean life and the rise of its economy to a completely new level have been studied. The study analyzed the purpose of the "Korean wave" phenomenon as a soft power policy used to develop and spread South Korea's national brand. In addition, as an example, the influence of the Korean "soft power" mechanism in Kazakhstan was considered.

            The impact of the "Hallyu" phenomenon on the relations between Kazakhstan and South Korea was described.
