Abstract

Victory in the Great Patriotic War was achieved by joint efforts of all peoples of the Soviet Union; It is part of their shared tragic and heroic history. The article tells about the most famous military commanders, generals from among representatives of various ethno-religious groups of the Tatar people M.M.Shaymuratov, P.G.Novikov and D.M.Karbyshev, who showed themselves not only as commanders, but also, having shown an example of personal courage, resilience and heroism, in the conditions of Captivity. Their names are the pride of the people, live in their memory
