This article examines the difference between the conduct of «soft power» of two states, such as China and South Korea. In modern times, the two countries are not in the last place in the international policy of conducting «soft power» against other states. After numerous wars and manifestations of «hard power» in the territories of different states, many countries have come to the conclusion that «hard power» is not an ideal way to spread their influence, since «hard politics» leads to the ruin and decline of the state as a result. The Republic of Korea and China, having a rich national treasure and hard work, turned this into their «soft power weapons» and made them levers of influence on the territories of other states. To this day, China and South Korea have successfully spread their state idea, politics, economy and other spheres of life through their rich culture. The instruments of spreading the culture of the two countries are music, media, national cuisine, national language and much more. The main method of studying this issue and topic is the comparative research method, in addition to it, the authors also used the methods of «case study», content analysis and empirical methods. In the article, the authors tried to use reliable and up-to-date data that will help readers in the future. In conclusion, the authors concluded that both South Korea and China use similar methods of «soft power», with elements and features of their culture, worldview and approach. The difference manifested itself in the original purpose of using «soft power». Predicting the future, the authors assume that in the near future these two states will still prove themselves on the world stage through «soft power».
