The principle of tolerance, together with the idea of peaceful coexistence, is a fundamental element of the foreign policy activities of all countries on the world stage. Achieving a high degree of tolerant relations within the system of international connections is a complex process, as each subject of international cooperation represents a unique entity with its specific forms of foreign policy activity, socio-economic development, and national mentality. Tolerance in international relations is not limited to a mere sense of tolerance towards various cultures and forms of political activity. It also serves as an important tool for achieving positive outcomes in global interaction. This principle rejects the use of military force and implies the absence of bloody conflicts, creating the prerequisites for sustainable peace and cooperation.
In a globalizing world, where interstate relations are becoming increasingly multifaceted and complex, the role of tolerance and peaceful coexistence gains particular significance. It fosters dialogue, mutual understanding, and respect among different peoples and cultures, which, in turn, strengthens international security and promotes economic and social progress on the planet. Thus, the integration of the principle of tolerance into international relations represents not only an ethical challenge but also a strategic necessity for achieving global peace and stability. The article examines key ideas relevant to contemporary international politics: the principle of tolerance and the idea of peaceful coexistence; tolerance in international relations as a tool for achieving positive outcomes; and the achievement of a high degree of tolerant relations.
