The article considers the features of cyberterrorism as one of the problems of our time that arise from terrorist organizations to spread the ideology of terrorism on the Internet. The Internet provides great opportunities for terrorist organizations to form "autonomous cells" in the virtual space, in which ideological work is carried out, the management of the activities of such groups, the collection of funds for its existence and the recruitment of new members. In addition to sites created by terrorist organizations, communication platforms for organizing the interaction of terrorists with potential members on the Internet are pages in social networks, author's blogs and Internet forums, and expert pages. The extremists do not ignore and actively use well-known video portals for their criminal purposes, where hundreds of videos promoting the ideas of "jihad"are freely available. Thus, over the past 20 years, terrorist organizations have firmly established themselves in all segments of the Internet and use it as the main tool for spreading their ideas.
