Requirements for authors:

  • The publication of materials in the scientific journal is carried out using the Open Journal System, an online submission and peer review system.
  • Registration or authorization is available in the "Sending materials" section.
  • The article is submitted in electronic format only by loading it through the functionality of the journal's website (Open Journal System).
  • The author for correspondence is obliged to provide a cover letter for publication in the journal.
  • In the article, the author for correspondence is indicated by an asterisk ("*").
  • Authors must necessarily indicate in the cover letter in the Open Journal System that the submitted article/manuscript has not been published anywhere before and that there are no borrowed text fragments from other works without references to them in the article.
  • The editorial office uses a licensed plagiarism verification system "Strikeplagiarism.com", including in international licensing systems.
  • It is not allowed to violate the forms of scientific ethics: plagiarism, falsification, falsified data, misinterpretation of other works, incorrect links, etc., specified in the Instructions for review or correcting articles.
  • The published scientific article (including reviews) must correspond to the stated purpose and thematic direction of the journal. Scientific article - a statement of one's own conclusions and intermediate or final results of scientific research, experimental or analytical activities, containing author's developments, conclusions, recommendations that have not been published before and have novelty; or devoted to the consideration of previously published scientific articles related to a common topic (systematic review).
  • In one issue of the journal, the author can publish no more than one article, including co-authorship. The number of authors of one article should not exceed 4 people.
  • It is not allowed to publish articles from one author in two consecutive issues of the journal.
  • The author (authors) is responsible for the content of the article. The members of the editorial office reserve the right to publish or reject articles in accordance with the approved "Publication ethics of the journal “Абылай хан атындағы ҚазХҚжәнеӘТУ Хабаршысы / Известия КазУМОиМЯ имени Абылай хана
  • In order to identify and prevent scientific plagiarism, in accordance with paragraph 6 of the "Regulations on the procedure for using the plagiarism verification system of “Kazakh Ablai khan University of International Relations and World Languages” JSC, the editorial office of the journal checks for anti-plagiarism of articles submitted for publication.

Point 6.  “The procedure for checking the works of scientific articles, independent creative works in the System.

The name of the work file must include the abbreviation SA (scientific article), M (monograph), EMW (educational and methodical work), the author's surname, for example, M_ Surname Name Last Name_

6.1. In the process of working with the report on the result of verification in the System of scientific articles, independent creative works, the expert is guided by the maximum allowable coefficients of similarity CS1 and CS2. In case of excess, the expert should pay close attention to the list of borrowings in the report, if necessary, send it for revision or reject. At the same time, for the final acceptance of the work, the coefficients must fit within the limits of the permissible level: the scale of threshold values CS1-30% and CS2-5%.

The author has the right to get acquainted with the results of checking the work performed by him.

6.2. An expert accepts a job for defense if:

- the work does not contain more than 10% of citations;

- all quotes are correctly formatted, there are footnotes;

- all citations are correctly reflected in the bibliography;

-  the work does not contain any manipulations with the alphabet, substitution of letters, hidden text, spacing, white characters, etc. (if >1 - do not accept the job).

6.3. On the basis of the complete "Report of Similarity", the expert fills in the Protocol of the assessment report of the similarity (hereinafter referred to as the Protocol) Appendix No. 6.

6.4. The expert registers the Protocol, for its complete formation, in case of non-admission to publication, it is required to indicate the reasons listed below:

- The borrowings found in the work do not have signs of plagiarism, but their excessive number raises doubts about the value of the work in essence and the lack of  author's work. In this connection, the work should be re-edited in order to limit borrowing;

- The borrowings found in the work are unfair and have signs of plagiarism, or it contains deliberate distortions of the text, indicating attempts to conceal the unfair borrowings. In this connection, work is not allowed for publication.

Requirement for the article:

The structure of a scientific article includes:

- Title;

- Abstract;

- Keywords;

- Introduction;

- Materials and Methods;

- Results;

- Discussion;

- Conclusion;

- Information about funding (if any);

- References.

  • Each original article must provide the reproduction of research results (if any), describes the research methodology, indicating the origin of equipment and materials (if any), methods of statistical data processing and other methods of ensuring reproducibility (if any).
  • The length of the article (excluding the title, information about the authors, abstracts, keywords, references) should be at least 5 to 16 pages (1 pp).
  • The text uses a 14-point font; abstract, keywords, literature/references use a 12-point font;  text in tables uses a 9 (11) - point font; Times New Roman;  alignment  to the width of the text, spacing – 1 cm, indentation – 1 cm, margins: top – 2 cm, bottom – 2.5 cm, left – 3 cm, right – 1 cm.

Format of the article: 

  1. UDC (Universal Decimal Classification Code)
  2. IRSTI
  3. DOI
  4. Title of the article
  5. The author (s) of the article (indicating the author for correspondence with the "*", no more than 4 authors)
  6. Abstract (at least 200 words, no more than 300 words)
  7. Keywords / phrases (8-12)
  8. Text of the article (introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusion)
  9. References (no more than 15 sources)
  10. Transliterated references
  11. Title of the article, author (s) of the article, abstract and keywords in two languages
  1. On the first line on the left, UDC and IRSTI are in bold, use a 12-point font (See sample article).
  2. Below, without a space, on the left, DOI is 12- is in bold, uses 12-point font (DOI is given by editors) (See sample article).
  3. Further, in one space, in the center, in capital letters (all uppercase), 14 in bold type, the title of the article is written in the language of the article (See sample article).
  4. Below, without a space, in the center, there is an information about the author (s) (surname and initials, workplace, city, country, email in the language of the article. A 14-point font is used. (See sample article).

The corresponding author is indicated with an asterisk (*) in front of the surname of the author. The number of authors should not exceed 4 (See sample article).

  1. Below, in one space, there is an abstract (200-300 words) in the language of the article, with an indent - 1 cm, a 12-point font (See sample article). 

Abstract must include the following items:

  • introduction
  • purpose, main directions and ideas of scientific research
  • brief description of the methods and materials used
  • results of the research
  • conclusion
  • theoretical significance of the research (the contribution of this work to the relevant area of ​​knowledge)
  • practical significance of the results of the research.

 

  1. Below, without a space, there are 8-12 keywords / phrases in the language of the article, with indent 1 cm, a 12-point font (See sample article).
  1. The text of the article is single-spaced, Times New Roman, alignment - to the width of the text, indent – 1 cm, margins: top – 2 cm, bottom – 2.5 cm, left – 3cm, right – 1 cm (See sample article).
  2. At the end of the text, in one space, the word "REFERENCES" in the language of the article, is written in the center, a 12-pont font, in bold, capital (all uppercase) letters. No more than 15 sources can be used (See sample article).

References (in English) is below with indent – 1 cm. References should include at least 3 sources.

References to sources in the text of the article are given only in square brackets (without citation [1], when citing the author's text [1, p. 29]). The enumeration  is carried out in the order they are cited. When using sources from electronic resources or remote access (Internet) in the article, REFERENCES contains a bibliographic record of the source and a link to a network resource with a full network address on the Internet, the date of access to the resource can be indicated.

References in Kazakh and Russian are in accordance with GOST (State Standard) 7.1-2003 “Bibliographic record. Bibliographic description. General requirements and compilation rules” (requirement for publications included in the list of CCES - Committee for Control of Education and Science) (See sample article)

  1. Below, in one space, there is a transliteration of bibliography. The word "REFERENCES" is written in the center of the text, 12-font in bold, capital (all uppercase) type in the language of the article (See sample article).

If the article is in English, then transliteration is not required. If the article is in Kazakh / Russian, then the sources must be transliterated (See sample article).

The rules for the References are specified at Transliteration.

  1. Below, in a single space, the article ends with Title of the article, Author (s) of the article, Abstract and keywords):
    a) in Russian and English, if the article is in Kazakh;
    b) in Kazakh and Russian, if the article is in English;
    c) in Kazakh and English, if the article is in Russian (See sample article).
    1. Figures, tables, graphs
      • Figures, tables, graphs, diagrams, etc. are presented directly in the text with indicating number and title. The amount of figures, tables, graphs and diagrams should not exceed 20% of the total volume of the article (in some cases, up to 30%).
      • The text of tables, diagrams, graphs and other graphic materials use 9 (11) point font, Times New Roman, numbered, have a name that is in the center of the line above the table. The table is placed after referring to it. The name of the table is written above the table in the center.

  • Figures are provided with headings, corresponding captions (i.e. after the figure) in the center and inserted into the text directly after the link to them.

 

For example

Part 2. Do you watch Japanese videos/TV programs? If yes, then how often?

  • Pictures (images), illustrations are presented in JPEG (jpg) format, with a resolution of at least 300 pixels and are provided as separate files. Each image must have a title based on the pattern of the picture.
  • The number of formulas in the text should be minimal. The formulas must be typed in the appropriate editor.
