The confrontation between Iran and the Arab countries, based on religious, ideological and geopolitical hostility to each other, is historical and one of the longest in the modern world. The relations between these countries have passed its hot and cold stages and are of great interest and relevant for today's agenda in the light of resumption of negotiations on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on Iran's nuclear program and the transformation of the system of international relations launched on February 24 of this year by the Russian Federation.
The article reflects a retrospective, the current course and prospects for the development of Arab-Iranian relations after the reduction of the USA’s role in the region and the start of crisis in Ukraine. The aim of the work is to analyze the ongoing changes in a geopolitically important for the energy sector region. The work demonstrates the current development of the situation and the forecast of further trends in the countries' foreign policies
