TRADE AND ECONOMIC RELATIONS BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN AND THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN AT THE MODERN STAGE

Abstract

The article analyzes the main directions of mutual trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The importance of developing relations between Iran and Kazakhstan in this direction is studied not only for the two countries, but also for the countries of Europe, the Persian Gulf, East and Central Asia. The authors pay attention to the main indicators of trade turnover that have occurred in recent years and focus on the main directions of export and import. The development of international transport corridors and logistics issues are also considered, since bilateral trade relations are closely related to transport and transit projects. In general, this work shows that the governments of the two countries are currently actively working to strengthen and expand trade and economic ties and enhance transport and transit potential. As one of the directions contributing to the sustainable development of the country, the activity to increase the export potential of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Iran is studied. In addition, opportunities were mentioned to increase mutual trade between the two countries, turning the two countries into important regional hubs connecting Europe, the Gulf countries and Asia.

This work is a study of the development potential of trade and economic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Islamic Republic of Iran over the past ten years as a perspective direction for the development of Kazakhstan's foreign trade relations. Today, Kazakhstan and Iran are interested in the activation of trade and economic relations, the further increase of trade turnover and the development of cooperation in the spheres of transport and logistics, agriculture and investments. During the considered period, there is also a decrease in the volume of trade, especially the volume of export of goods from Kazakhstan, although Kazakhstan is taking measures to increase the turnover.
