This article examines the place and significance of public diplomacy in the theory of international relations. Public diplomacy is used as an important tool in shaping the relations of states on the international stage, based on the dissemination of information, exchange of opinions, and engaging the international community in its goals and interests. The article analyzes the theoretical aspects of public diplomacy, its role and effectiveness in international relations, as well as trends in its development in accordance with the demands of modernity. In addition, the relevance of public diplomacy at the present stage, its methods of implementation, and the impact of information technologies and mass media are discussed. The authors, by exploring new forms of public diplomacy in international political processes, determine its influence on global politics, as well as its importance in shaping the image of the state.
